Nicole draws each new patterned insect design by hand, using fine liner pens. Once the design is finished, she scans the original versions to create SVG files, and this is when colours are added. Working in this way enables Nicole to create different colour combinations for each design, and also means that there's no maximum size for the prints that you can order - there will be no loss of quality, even for very large prints.
Initially, Nicole was drawing as a way to wind down and relax - she has always been extremely private when it comes to showing contents of her sketchbooks, but the popularity of these designs has encouraged Nicole to create multiple designs to sell, which have progressed from art prints to include many other items of homeware, clothing and more.
